Set Up

Just SETting UP this blog while we're sitting here in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  We SET UP the RV yesterday afternoon when we got here, drained the antifreeze (with trepidation), bought some groceries, and SET UP the heaters inside.  We think last night will be the coldest temperatures we're going to have for the rest of the time, but you never know.

Although it was below freezing last night, all was well.  We have heaters (electricity) and a furnace (gas), and they were all going throughout the night.  It kept everything warm enough so nothing froze.

We'll be spending another night here.  We're sitting right on the Arkansas River directly across from Little Rock.  So today we will walk into the city (less than a mile away).  Tonight or tomorrow morning, I'll post some photos and tell you what we did in Little Rock.

Getting here was uneventful (fortunately).  We spent the first night in Florence, Kentucky, then the next night in Jackson, Tennessee (between Nashville and Memphis).  We got the RV and truck washed just before Little Rock - they were both a mess, and we arrived here around 1 pm yesterday (CST).

We had 4 states on our list we have not been to, and Arkansas was one of them.  So now it's down to 3 - all of which are on the eastern seaboard (Delaware, Rhode Island and Connecticut).  Maybe we'll get to them next year.

I won't be writing this blog every day.  If there's nothing to report, I won't bore you.
